Hose and Tube

Plastic pipes have been a mainstay of modern society for several decades.  These pipes, both above and below ground, not to mention inside of the home, transport all of your fresh drinking water, remove all of your rain and waste-water, provide gas, propane and other heating fuels, and even protect your home’s foundation with modern sump pump systems.  In many cases, municipalities use plastic liners to improve broken and damaged iron and concrete pipes in antiquated city systems.  The flexibility and ease of use of plastic pipes allow them to be easily installed, with very low maintenance cost and long lifespans.

Outside of utilities, plastics are found in flexible pool and vacuum hoses, industrial hoses and tubes, in the tubes used to deliver juice and soda to fountain drink machines, and in all sorts of irrigation products, just to name a few.  Entec Polymers provides resin from many product families that can allow for great chemical and stress crack resistance, excellent organoleptics (taste, odor or feel), very soft or highly rigid demands, clear or opaque, and even custom compounds that will operate in high heat conditions yet still stay soft to the touch.

Entec carries resins with full FDA approval for potable water tubing, such as low density, linear low density and high density polyethylene (LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE), polypropylene, polystyrene, plastomers and elastomers, polycarbonates and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). We also provide resins for industrial hoses from plastic families such as polyamides, liquid crystal polymers (LCP), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), acetal copolymer (POM), polybutene-1 (PB-1) and the tie-layer or adhesive resins that can bond multi-layer systems together.
