processingMethod
Sintering, Porous
Porous sintering is a process where porous materials are fused together, but not to the point where they melt, using controlled heat and pressure. Most thermoplastic polymers can be used for this process, although polyethylene and polypropylene are the most commonly used. Porous sintered thermoplastics are commonly used in applications requiring absorption and desorption, acoustic damping, and filtration.
