Polycarbonate / Polyethylene Terephthalate blends (PC/PET) were developed to offer the benefits of PC but with the improved chemical resistance of PET. In addition to the improved chemical resistance, these blends offer improved environmental stress crack resistance, cold temperature impact and low moisture absorbance. PC/PET blends are most often processed by injection molding and are used in medical applications where chemical resistance to disinfectants is required. PC/PET blends are also used in electrical and electronic applications, lawn and garden, home appliances, drinkware, and sporting goods.
