Entec Polymers generic prime options for GPPS and HIPS offer a diverse product portfolio along with the quality customer’s expect in today’s market. Our line card of GPPS and HIPS is shown below. Like other amorphous products, general thermal and mechanical properties vary inversely with melt flow. Lower melt flow offers superior properties but can be more difficult to process in thinner walled injection molded parts.

GPPS is most commonly used in applications requiring high levels of clarity and surface gloss or single use food packaging. The mechanical properties of GPPS allow it to be used in a variety of applications. Our HYRENE® GPPS products range from 1-18 melt flow which allows your design and manufacturing team to find an optimized balance between processing and mechanical properties. Styrenic Polymers have an extremely forgiving process window which can help with increased throughput and reduced scrap rate.

HIPS Polymers are an impact modified version of GPPS. They have excellent dimensional stability at elevated temperatures and offer increased toughness and impact resistance. HIPS can be utilized in various food packaging products, appliance covers, electrical housings, and housewares.
