Polyamide 1010 (Nylon 1010)
Polyamide 1010 (PA 1010, Nylon 1010) is produced by the polymerization of a diamine and dicarbonic acid. Key characteristics of nylon 1010 include very high bi-based content, very low moisture absorption, excellent UV and chemical resistance, excellent stress cracking resistance to zinc chloride, properties similar to nylon 12, and a broad processing window. Nylon 1010 is mainly processed by injection molding and extrusion. Common applications for nylon 1010 include hose and tube, cable sheathing, automotive components, connectors, electrical housings, gears and bushings, brushes, sheet and profile extrusions, and film.
